Right then Mac guys, I FOUND A WAY TO GET IT RUNNING. From what I can make out it's basically a Wineskinned-up Windows game being sold under the guise of a Mac game. The Wineskin this game needs to be played comes with it from Steam Store, I haven't changed anything with the above process apart from how the game is being opened ie not through Steam.

A lot of people seem to be disappointed with their purchases for this reason (and others I imagine).Short answer - Wineskin comes integrated in the game package/files, game folders shouldn't need to be accessed at all to play games bought from Steam, lol. If I wanted the game I'd rather download the win version and run it under parallel's and my win8 virtual machine rather than a wine skin wrapper. To do so - I now need to spend another 12 hours downloading it.

I don't care if I own it - so just delete the crap and be glad I didn't pay for it. Witcher 2 however is very good - I didn't think I'd like it - but the free weekend let me demo it and after 15gig (24 hours) download I figured it was worth 3.99. And is a Mac program, not a wrapped Win program like witcher 1.W1 would not run as is - and I wasn't about to waste time tweaking a wrapper. That why I buy games instead of pi rate ing them from the torrents. I don't want to mess with cracks and tweaks.
